Purpose - Rank the precincts per crime type and indicate the number of offenses per crime type, closet to land marks.

Method -- Using the geoprocessing intersect tool, the precinct shapefile was intersected with the burglaries, arsons and assault shapefiles, individually. Within the precincts shapefile attribute table, three new fields were created for burglary, arson and assault. Next, a frequency table was made for the burglary, arson and assaults. Each field was then sorted to "frequency descending". The frequency table was joined to the precincts feature class. While the landmark shapefile was buffered to 250 meters. Burglary, arson and assault shapefiles were intersected with the landmark buffer feature class, to create the individual maps below.
